New Features Explained in Dead Island Riptide gameplay preview

Deep Silver has issued a brand new walkthrough of pre-alpha footage for Dead Island: Riptide, which is due out later this year. The nine minute long trailer shows off some of the new systems implemented in the sequel, like the new hub defense mechanic, and of course, the brutal violence that the game is known for.

Dead Island: Riptide continues the story of the survivors of the Banoi incident, who managed to escape the island by helicopter. On board a military ship, a new adventure begins as the virus begins to spread throughout the crew.

Dead Island: Riptide is due out later this year on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
