Wii U, 3DS and PS Vita owners will be disappointed to know that FIFA 16 will not be released for either console.

An EA representative told Pocket Gamer that there “isn’t a PS Vita or 3DS version” of FIFA 16. However, there will be a mobile version of the game available. EA Sports will share more on the mobile version of the game at a later date.

It’s disappointing FIFA 16 won’t be released for the 3DS and PS Vita. Last year’s FIFA 15 was available for both consoles. It’s likely not many gamers bought these versions of the game so EA Sports decided to leave them out this year.

Polygon also notes that FIFA 16 will not be released for the Wii U. EA Sports only announced the game for PC, PS4, Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox 360. This will be the first time since the year 2000 that no Nintendo device receives a FIFA game.

EA Sports decided a few years ago not to release their sports range to the Wii U. However, FIFA 15 still managed to come out for 3DS and even the original Wii. This year with FIFA 16, all Nintendo consoles have been snubbed.

Are you disappointed FIFA 16 won’t be out on as many platforms this year?
