Tetsuya Nomura has made a bold promise that the graphics in the Final Fantasy 7 remake will look even better than what we saw from the CG trailer at E3 2015.

Nomura talked more about the Final Fantasy 7 remake during a new interview wih Famitsu. Gematsu translated a few interesting things he had to say about it.

First of all, Nomura said they’re graphically “going to raise the quality even more” in the actual Final Fantasy 7 remake. He is suggesting the game will look even better than what they showed last week. A bold claim since it was a CG trailer.

Nomura also confirmed the Final Fantasy 7 remake is a full remake. It’s unlike the many remasters we see that are basically the same game with only a resolution boost. This remake will be built from the ground up.

Lastly, the Final Fantasy 7 remake will not introduce any new characters. All of the characters in the game should have all appeared before in the original game.

Although this might not mean some parts of the story in the Final Fantasy 7 remake could be changed. Some people have speculated if a major character lives this time around. It would alter the story a lot if they did that.
