Three Fields Entertainment, which is a small and new indie studio, is made up of devs responsible for games like Burnout and Black. They officially released their first game earlier this year called Dangerous Golf, which actually had more in common with Burnout than one would initially assume.

However, the game was panned when it launched, and the game has quickly fallen off the radar. As a result, the developers are already beginning work on a new game, and it sounds like it could be one that their fans might be more interested in.

Co-founder Alex Ward recently took to Twitter to reveal that “Work has begun on a driving game.” He didn’t specifically reveal what kind of driving game this would be like, but considering Burnout is their biggest claim to fame it is definitely news that their fans will appreciate.

It has been a long time since we’ve gotten another main entry in the Burnout series, with the last one being 2008’s Burnout Paradise. The game was notable for giving fans an open-world environment that they could progress through at their own pace, racing other cars while also causing a whole lot of destruction in the process.

It remains to be seen when we’ll hear more about Three Fields Entertainment’s new driving game, but you’ll be sure to hear about it here when the information becomes available.
