Players who buy V-Bucks on the Playstation version of Fortnite will be able to use them elsewhere after a new update. Just like any other free-to-play title, Fortnite has many ways to monetize its game including a Battle Pass and cosmetic items ranging from simple emotes and weapon skins to character skins from famous movies and TV shows. This game has managed to gather a large fanbase for a considerable amount of time; even though the Battle Royale market has increased its competition, this title has stayed among the best, retaining players with new updates, game modes, and more.

Fortnite leaker ShiinaBR tweeted about the new upcoming addition that will be featured when the v20.40 update rolls out. PlayStation users that buy V-Bucks will now be able to use them on other platforms that support Fortnite Shared Wallet. This is a great addition to the game; now, Playstation users will be able to enjoy their premium currency no matter the system in which they are playing.

Not too long ago, Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 went live, and lots of players went back into its servers. The new season brought a lot of additions and changes to the game, mixing up the gameplay and meta of the title. The new season brought its share of cosmetic items, featuring a Doctor Strange skin among other cosmetics. The developers also added a no-building game mode, making players adapt to the missing mechanic while trying to get a win without building any structures.

All in all, this addition will make a lot of players happy. Many players choose to limit their expenses in games like this one because they cannot use the same currency on other platforms, so when this update goes live, V-Buck sales could see a significant increase shortly after.

Fortnite is available now on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, mobile devices, and PC.
