If you buy Fallout 4 on Xbox One, you should also receive Fallout 3 for free too. The good news is that this promotion will last until well into February 2016.
The official Xbox website announced: “Through February 8, 2016, purchase Fallout 4 and receive Fallout 3 on Xbox 360. The code for Fallout 3 will be delivered to your Xbox message center in 7-10 days. Redeem your code on Xbox One or Xbox.com. Fallout 3 will be backward compatible so you can play it on Xbox ONe starting November 12.”
You are effectively buying two games for one price which is pretty cool. If you missed out playing Fallout 3, you can now do so for free simply by purchasing Fallout 4 on Xbox One.
It’s generous they are giving buyers the option to get the game for free for that long. Normally a promotion like this is only offered as a pre-order bonus or only until shortly after launch.
Bear in mind, this offer is only available to Xbox One owners since that console has backwards compatibility. You don’t get a free download code for Fallout 3 if you buy Fallout 4 on PS4. The same thing holds true for PC owners too.
Fallout 4 releases worldwide on November 10th and is set to be the biggest game launch in all of 2015.
