Telltale has announced that details will be coming this week for the upcoming Game of Thrones Episode 5 ‘A Nest of Vipers’. This will be the fifth episode of the six episode series, meaning we should start heading into the endgame for the story.

In Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series, players take control of various members and friends of House Forrester. A relatively unknown quantity in the HBO show that the game is based on, House Forrester is nonetheless caught up in the War of the Five Kings, which ravaged Westeros shortly before the game began.

With their House in shambles and enemies all around, it is up to the player to make choices that push the Forresters into a better standing with the rulers of this new world. Most of the characters in Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series are new, having not even appeared in the books that the show is based on. However, some characters have returned, with more showing up as the series has progressed.

What lies in wait for Episode 5 – ‘A Nest of Vipers’? We should find out more this week, though the name itself might give some hint. The inclusion of the word Vipers might hint at some involvement with Dorne, the southern area that was heavily featured this last season on HBO.

We should find out more when Telltale releases the promised details. This should also give us a better idea of the release date as things usually move very quickly for Telltale once they begin giving info. I’d expect the game to hit some time within the next week or two based on previous episodes.
