If you are having trouble connecting to the NBA 2K16 online servers today, you are not alone as 2K Support has confirmed that the problem is a widespread issue affecting many owners of the game.
2K Support tweeted out the following message: “We are aware some players are encountering server issues with #NBA2K16 and are investigating. Thank you for your patience.”
If you are playing NBA 2K16 right now, you may have to wait a while until the online servers are functional again. It may be a matter of a few minutes to even a couple of hours. 2K Support is likely to tweet out another message to let us know when the problems are resolved.
To be fair though, NBA 2K16’s servers have been better than NBA 2K15. When NBA 2K15 launched back in 2014, the servers were down for a couple of days. This was frustrating as the game came out the same day as Driveclub which was another game that had online issues since launch day.
Anyway, don’t worry about being unable to connect to the 2K servers today. As aforementioned, it’s a 2K issue and has nothing to do with your own WiFi connection or video game console.
