We now have about two months left in our wait to re-enter the bloody, chaotic, gun-slinging world of Pandora in Borderlands 2. Today, developer Gearbox announced that Borderlands 2 is now officially completed and will move on to the certification process.

Now that the on-disc content for Borderlands 2 is all locked up, Gearbox is now concentrating on post-launch endeavors. Currently, the developer is working on creating the “Mechromancer” character class (a screenshot of its concept art can be seen below) which will release about 60-90 days after launch. To get the class for free, become a member of the Premiere Club, which you can do by pre-ordering Borderlands 2.

If you missed it, check out the 10-minute Borderlands 2 walkthrough with commentary from Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford, which details the town of Sanctuary, the off-the-wall junkyard droid Claptrap, and one of the most seriously demented little girls you’ll ever come into contact with: Tiny Tina.
