The Gears of War 3 Multiplayer Beta has ended, and now the long wait until September begins. Since you’ve got all this time on your hands, you might want to take the time to consider which edition of the game you’ll be purchasing when it releases this fall. Good news, Epic has unveiled the Collectors Edition for Gears of War 3 and it’s got plenty for the Gears fan to appreciate.
The Epic Edition which will run you $150 includes
A Limited Edition Marcus Fenix Statue – Designed by Epic Games Art Director Chris Perna and expertly crafted by the artisans at Triforce, this fine PVC statue collectible makes the ultimate living room centerpiece for any true “Gears” fan. The personal effects of Adam Fenix – including his “Last Will and Testament,” the initial Hammer of Dawn schematic, and other Fenix family mementos.
Not everyone is going to feel comfortable plunking down $150 for a single game, so if that’s too much for you, the game will also be available in a “Limited Edition”. The Limited Edition will run you $80 and has everything that the “Epic Edition” has, sans the statue, art book, and weapon pack. Of course, Gears of War 3 will also be available as a standalone “regular” version which will cost you the standard $60 entry with no goodies. The game will be available this September, exclusively for the Xbox 360.
