Gears of War 4 is without question one of Microsoft’s top games coming out this fall, with a release date set for October 11 on both Xbox One and Windows 10 PC. With the release fast approaching, those that have pre-ordered the game have been wondering when the game would be up for pre-load, and now we have some good news for one of those platforms.
As revealed by the official Twitter account for Gears of War, anybody that has pre-ordered Gears of War 4 on Xbox One can start pre-loading today.
“Good news! #GearsofWar4 pre-load for XB1 digital pre-orders begins later today at 5pm PDT (12am UTC). Expected download size will be 54.6GB.“
Not only did we get the news of the pre-loading, which is now available as of the time of this writing, but they also revealed the game’s file size. Gears of War 4 is a rather large 54.6GB, but that is becoming more and more common this generation.
In addition, they followed up that tweet with information on the pre-load for Windows 10 PC, which is not yet available. They said that the Windows 10 PC version pre-load would be coming soon, and would be well before launch. Considering the game is less than two weeks away now, that means it should be available for pre-load on Windows 10 PC rather soon.
