On Friday Morning I recieved this letter from the attorneys of George Hotz  (GeoHot)  for immediate release.  I thought some readers may find it interesting although, please let me clarfiy.  This site DOES NOT advocate piracy.  And I have zero stance on the matter of George Hotz v. Sony aside from it’s implications regarding the PlayStation 3 Console and the news about it.

We just wanted to let you know that George Hotz isn’t going to take the recent action initiated by Sony lightly, nor is he going to simply roll over and acquiesce to Sony’s demands. Â This case not only has huge implications for Mr. Hotz, but it implicates tangible rights for all of us.

By publishing this letter from the attorneys, I am in no way advocating for one side or the other. Â Personally, if this wasn’t in the news I wouldn’t have ever thought about wanting my Other OS back or Linux or what a jailbreak is and when it dies down I doubt I will again. Â But for some people like Mr. Hotz and others it is an issue of personal liberties and consumers rights.
Either way, Â it is news.
