Destiny: The Taken King

Get $20 Towards Destiny: The Taken King At GameStop By Trading In Original Game

Destiny released last year and while mixed in reception by some, it definitely has been one of the most talked about games of the year since its release. We’ve had two sets of DLC for the game so far, but now the game is taking a major leap forward with the upcoming Destiny: The Taken King. For those of you that still have the original game, GameStop has revealed a trade-in offer for Destiny: The Taken King.

GameStop has started to offer a deal where they will give you $20 towards Destiny: The Taken King Legendary Edition by trading in the regular version of Destiny. At this point, Destiny only trades in for $8, or $8.80 with Power Up Rewards, so getting $20 can be a great deal for those who want the new packaging of the game and everything.

This deal isn’t as amazing as some prior trade-in deals like for The Last of Us Remastered, but it still is pretty decent. While those who only care about The Taken King and already own the expansions, this is merely nothing more than a change in box art, unless you are a Power Up Rewards member, as you can buy The Taken King alone for $39.99 on PSN.

The biggest help that this deal can be is for people that may want to switch platforms, as reports say that you can trade in last-gen versions as well, so those that may have made the leap to PS4 or Xbox One since last September could move up on Destiny easily.

This offer will last from September 12 through September 21, but Destiny: The Taken King itself will release on September 15.
