Sony Santa Monica is hiring for a God of War title, possibly God of War 4. In the recent job listing, the developer is looking for online programmers to work on leaderboards and matchmaking. Wait..what..matchmaking?
Yep, according to Gamespot, the world reknown developer is looking to hire a senior online programmer to join the God of War team. This may not come right out and say it, but it’s certainly looking like the next in the God of War franchise may be throwing in the towel as one of the last remaining great franchises to only incorporate single player only functionalities.
That being said, we can’t get too excited just yet. There’s no guarantee that the God of War team will be working on a God of War game, but there’s certainly a possibility. What do you think?
Does Kratos need multiplayer? Or is God of War fine just how it is?
