The long awaited and much delayed PC version of Grand Theft Auto 5 is getting ever closer to its April 14th release date. Today, Rockstar made the wait a little bit harder by showing off some new screenshots of the game. Rendered at an extremely high resolution, the screenshots reveal a lot of the PC specific visual features that will be available, as long as your machine can handle it. Along with the new screenshots came promise of a PC-specific trailer, which will be debuting some time next week.
Fans of GTA V have had to wait much longer than anticipated for the PC version to finally release. The original version of the game launched in September 2013 for PS3 and Xbox 360. A PC version was expected, but none was announced until June 2014, alongside the PS4 and Xbox One editions of the game. While they were all originally supposed to launch on the same day, the PC version has been repeatedly delayed, with the last one pushing it out of March and into April of this year.
So far the April 14th release date has stuck, and with just over two weeks left it might remain that way. If these screenshots are anything to go by though, the wait will have been well worth it. The screenshots here are just a sampling, click here to see them all.
