GTA Online Features Double GTA$ and RP This Week, Liberator, Fireworks, and More Items Return

GTA Online is celebrating the July 4th holiday in grand fashion, with some returning items from last year, along with double GTA$ and RP in a special playlist. The promotion will last all week, starting today and ending on July 6th.

“To help laud the occasion, merchants across Los Santos are also restocking all their original Independence Day Special inventory, with a 25% discount on everything, including vehicles like The Liberator monster truck and Sovereign motorcycle, the Firework Rocket Launcher and its ammo, plus an assortment of red-white-and-blue gear including Hats, T-Shirts, Masks and more.”

Along with the returning items comes the double GTA$ and RP, which is isolated to a special Independence Day GTA Online Event Playlist. Every mission in the playlist will give players double the money and experience, allowing you to save up for the expensive items coming in the Ill-Gotten Gains Update Part 2. The playlist will offer “patriotic-themed GTA Online Jobs including Americana (Parachuting), GTA: Land of the Free (Capture), and Mud, Sweat and Gears (Land Race).”

Double RP is offered outside the official playlist though, so if you don’t need the cash you can just play through any GTA Online jobs to level up faster.
