GTA V is set to feature real-time weather effects, a first for the franchise, revealed just recently by GameStop UK . Â The retailer stoked fans interest for the next Grand Theft Auto title by explaining just exactly what “real-time weather effects” actually means. Â While it’s hard to get the complete picture in 150 characters, here’s what they had to say.
Furious storms, rough ocean waves and rain forming puddles in mud
“GTA V’s real-time weather effects will create furious storms, rough ocean waves and rain forming puddles in mud.”
Grand Theft Auto 5 won’t be the first GTA game to feature weather effects, but the real-time aspect could make exploring Los Santos a treacherous experience in the wrong conditions. Â It could also lead to some serious comedy down the line from video makers as well.
GameStop didn’t say much more about the real-time weather effects, but hopefully we’ll be hearing more about them as we head closer to the release date of GTA V on September 17th, 2013. Â GTA V is currently only confirmed for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Â Rockstar recently announced pre-order bonuses for GTA V, as well as two special editions for the game, you can find more information about each, here.
