Halo 5 1-Year Anniversary Celebrated With Free REQ Pack Today

by Mike Guarino

It has now been one year since Halo 5: Guardians launched for Xbox One, marking Master Chief’s first new adventure on the console. While the game still gets plenty of fan support to this day, the developers have decided to add a little incentive to jump back in for those who stopped playing.

Developer 343 Industries published a new blog post regarding the anniversary, which revealed that if you log into the game today you will get the Greatest Hits customization REQ Pack for free. Again, this offer is only available today, so make sure you log in by midnight tonight.

“Since launch last year, we’ve delivered nine updates, expanding the content and experiences available to all players,” reads the blog post. “We’ve released fifteen new multiplayer maps, six new game modes and many hundreds of new REQ items. We’ve lit up new features such as the completely overhauled Forge mode, which is now more powerful than ever.”

They also detailed some of the things that will be coming to the game going forward, which includes things like new maps for the Warzone Firefight rotation, the ability to browse and join live custom games, and more. Get the full details by clicking right here.
