The Last of Us will get harder with upcoming DLC

A brand new difficulty mode is coming to The Last of Us. Following the release of the Left Behind Story DLC, Naughty Dog is readying the “final drop” of downloadable content for the game.
And while the final The Last of Us DLC will be mostly focused on multiplayer, with new maps, weapons and skills, Naughty Dog teased fans with this brand new difficulty mode via their blog.

Sharing no details about this new difficulty mode, Naughty Dog says they have “more information on it as in-game elements near completion.”

Not that The Last of Us needed to be any harder. The PlayStation 3 exclusive already featured an extremely challenging Survivor mode. In which, players found far less items to use in the world, making the crafting to survive aspects of the game far more challenging. The Survival Difficulty also removed the Listening Mode, and featured a more intelligent AI.
