Gone Home has been announced for consoles and is coming in 2014.
Steve Gaynor, co-founder of The Fullbright Company gave the announcement today on IGN’s Up at Noon. In the interview, Gaynor noted that they will be using the console version not as a way to add more content but for them to make the best version of the game possible. Gaynor also said that while developing, Gone Home was intended to be a couch experience. He also said that they have not decided what console’s Gone Home will be coming to.
Midnight City will be helping The Fullbright Company publish the game. Gaynor said that this helps the company work on there next project. He specified it won’t be Gone Home 2.
Gone Home came out last year exclusively to PC and was met with much critical acclaim. It features a girl who spent a year abroad exploring her family’s empty home.
