The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences has announced their list of nominees to obtain one of the game of the year recognitions the organization will present on February 22nd in Las Vegas during the 2018 D.I.C.E. (Design, Innovate, Communicate, Entertain) Summit. Guerrilla Games’ Horizon: Zero Dawn is the production to get more nominations, getting a spot on 10 of the categories, while other of the most acclaimed games of the year, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, follows with a total of six nominations, and has many chances to get some of the top honors considering its previous success at the Golden Joystick Awards and The Game Awards.
Horizon developers Guerrilla responded to the news with a message on Twitter: “We are so honored to be nominated in so many categories.” Other titles to collect various mentions include Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, Cuphead, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, and Super Mario Odyssey.
