It looks like Humble Bundle has teamed up with Ubisoft for their first major bundle of 2017. Known as the Humble Assassin’s Creed Bundle, this deal offers nine titles from the iconic Assassin’s Creed franchise.
$1 Tier
- Assassin’s Creed
- Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India
- Assassin’s Creed Chronicles:Â China
- Assassin’s Creed Chronicles:Â Russia
The Chronicles trilogy are a spin-off to the main franchise and play as 2D side scrolling stealth platformers, similar to the popular indie title Mark of the Ninja. While not really anything outstanding (they have an average of 64 on Metacritic) they’re more than worth the cost of a dollar.
The original Assassin’s Creed is the father of the franchise. A new IP released in 2007, it received enough praise to spawn a sequel and eventually an entire series. Despite its age, it’s still something worth playing through — especially considering the price point.
Beat the Average Tier
- Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD
- Assassin’s Creed II Deluxe Edition
- Assassin’s Creed III + Tyranny of King Washington: The Infamy DLC
Liberation is a spin-off to the third game that originally came out in 2012 for the Vita. It later received an HD port for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Windows platform. Unlike Chronicles, this title plays more like a traditional Assassin’s Creed game.
Assassin’s Creed II is the second main title in the series. It greatly improved upon the foundation of the first game and might be the reason the series became so popular. It’s the highest rated game in the franchise and stars Ezio Auditore, a protagonist so well-loved that he starred in two more games after his debut.
The last game in this tier is Assassin’s Creed III along with the first DLC pack for the Tyranny of King Washington expansion. Taking place in 18th century America, this game tells the story of Connor and his role in the American Revolution.
$15 Tier
- Assassin’s Creed Unity
- Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood
Unity takes place in France during the French Revolution. It received a mixed reception at launch due to graphical and gameplay bugs that have since been addressed and fixed by Ubisoft. It’s also the first game in the series to have cooperative multiplayer up to four players.
Finally, Brotherhood is often regarded as one of the highest points of the franchise, usually only competing with its predecessor for the number one spot. It’s the second chapter of the Ezio trilogy and received critical acclaim and several awards during its release.
That’s everything available in this bundle. There’s still 12 days left until the offer expires, so if you’re interested in getting it make sure to do so before it goes away. Also note that a part of all purchases for thus bundle will go to support the CéKeDuBonheur Association and the Pablove Foundation. You can find the deal over at Humble Bundle’s site.
