Infamous: Second Son, a game developed by Sucker Punch and published by Sony Entertainment, is going to be released in February of 2014 as confirmed by a studio representative in an interview with Polygon.

The game was revealed at the PlayStation Meeting held last February, and it’s the third installment in the series. The setting of the game takes place seven years after the events of Infamous 2 in which Cole MacGrath thought he had killed John White, a conduit, by activating the Ray Field Inhibitor. However, he survived the attack and returns to destroy the rest of the earth. As a result, the Department of Unified Protection (DUP) is formed, their mission is to observe all of the United States for any conduit activity and eliminate it. Your character is a 24 year-old graffiti artist with no real direction in life called Delsin Rowe. Rowe discovers his abilities in a bus accident where he comes in contact with a conduit, and the result is that his own abilities are activated.

The gameplay is nearly the same as the previous installments, but with minor changes. For example, not having to hold L1 anymore to aim, and being able to fire at will due to the presence of a permanent on-screen reticle. Other primary elements of the game has been kept the same like the open-world, the 3rd person play-style and parkour running.
