Injustice 2 is the game that DC Comics fans have been waiting on ever since Injustice: Gods Among Us came out. The announcement of the game came last June and the information drip had really slowed down in recent months, but today’s story trailer revealed plenty of new information, which was released alongside details about the various versions of the game and how much DLC there will be.
Injustice 2 – Lines Are Redrawn is the story trailer for Injustice 2 that makes the grand reveal of who the main villain of the game is. Superman was the villain of the first, but this time Brainiac is the main antagonist it appears.
Throughout the trailer, we see teases of other characters, such as Batman fighting who appears to be Damian Wayne in a variation of his Robin costume rather than Nightwing from the first game.
We also see shots of the returning character Bane, along with evidently Poison Ivy. She isn’t outright confirmed, but there is little need to show her like they did in the trailer if she’s not going to be.
At the end of the trailer, it also revealed that Injustice 2 will be coming with a Standard Edition, Digital Deluxe Edition, and Ultimate Edition. The official website has revealed that the Digital Deluxe Edition will come with three DLC characters and one “premier skin” that changes Supergirl into Powergirl and gives her completely new look, voice, and dialogue. The Ultimate Edition will come with 9 DLC characters, which seems to confirm the number we’ll be getting for the game. In addition, you will get three “premier skins” that include the aforementioned Power Girl, as well as John Stewart for Green Lantern and what looks to be Reverse Flash for Flash.
Lastly, the trailer confirmed the leak from over the weekend that Darkseid will be a pre-order bonus for the game, so make sure to get your pre-orders in if you want to play as Darkseid right away.
