Some lucky Japanese gamers are able to play Pokemon GO as of today as invites for the field test have been sent out to those that registered a few weeks ago.

Niantic announced via Google Plus: “Starting today, if you live in Japan we will begin an invitation to field test Pokémon GO. Users of the invitation on your terminal, on the basis of such as this to your experience with the realistic world game, and then sequentially guide you through methods such as lottery or invitation.

To those who have been invited, we will tell you the details by e-mail, but also those who did not receive an e-mail today, we will sequentially increase the number of users , so please look forward to more.”

The translation is a bit patchy, but you should get the general idea. Some gamers are able to test out the game already and more users might be added in the near future.

Hopefully one of the users can leak out some videos so we can see more from the gameplay of Pokemon GO. A lot of people are looking forward to the game as it could be one of 2016’s most anticipated mobile titles.
