Jennifer Lawrence Finally Admits The Real Reason People Rejected Her, And It Wasn’t Her Movies Or Politics

She finally gets the backlash.

Jennifer Lawrence has been a major Hollywood star for more than ten years. She won an Oscar and appeared in huge movie series like The Hunger Games and X-Men. But in the late 2010s, several of her films didn’t do well at the box office. After that, she took time away from acting. Now she’s sharing the truth about why people stopped liking her during those years.

According to Bro Bible, Lawrence got very honest about how the public viewed her in a recent interview. She said that looking back at her old interviews makes her cringe. The actress now realizes why so many people found her annoying.

She talked about how she used to act in interviews, always making jokes and putting herself down. Lawrence said this was partly who she really was, but it was also her way of protecting herself from criticism.

Things Are Different For Her Now

“Well, it is, or it was, my genuine personality, but it was also a defense mechanism. And so it was a defense mechanism, to just be, like, ‘I’m not like that! I poop my pants every day!’ I look at those interviews, and that person is annoying,” she said. Lawrence went on to explain that she felt rejected not because of her film choices or her political views, but simply because of who she was as a person.

Lawrence came back to acting in 2021 with the movie Don’t Look Up. Since then, every film she’s made has been rated R. This includes Causeway, No Hard Feelings, and her new thriller Die My Love. That film comes out on November 7 and stars Robert Pattinson alongside her. Critics have been praising her work in it.

The way Lawrence picks her roles has really changed. She’s doing more serious, adult films now instead of massive blockbusters. She stepped away from Hollywood after a few X-Men movies, Passengers, and Red Sparrow all failed to connect with audiences. She also used that time to have children and focus on her family.

Looking forward, Lawrence has some exciting work coming up. She’s going to star in a new Martin Scorsese movie called What Happens at Night with Leonardo DiCaprio. During her interview, she also mentioned something surprising. She plans to get plastic surgery before shooting her next scene that requires her to appear naked. She talked about how her body changed after having two kids, saying the first pregnancy was easier to bounce back from than the second.
