Thunder Lotus Games may have just finished releasing their previous game, Jotun on consoles, but that doesn’t stop them from announcing another one. Sundered is a brand new game that will take players on another kind of adventure. A Metroidvania of sorts that takes what the developers have learned and push it even further with their unique handdrawn art style.

Sundered looks to draw players in with the handdrawn artwork, but make them stay for the Metroidvania gameplay that promises multiple endings and large scale bosses throughout the game. The game itself is described as an action horror, which is intersting for a game of its kind. It will be set in a procedural world and is set to release sometime in 2017. Check out the trailer below.

In Sundered, players will take on the role of Eshe, a wanderer trapped in constantly changing caverns with elderich horrors. They will utilize the powers of corrupted old relics to take on the fierce bosses and hordes of enemies.

Sundered is set to release on PlayStation 4 and Steam sometime in 2017.
