Announced with great fanfare during Sony’s E3 2018 press conference, Trover Saves the Universe finally has an official release date for both PS4 and PC. Coming to PS4 on May 31st and PC on June 4th, the game is set to deliver some Rick and Morty style humor in both standard and VR gameplay.
The game is being crafted by Squanch Games, a new gaming studio from the co-creator of Rick and Morty, Justin Roiland. Check out the new trailer below to get a taste of the raunchy and very adult game that’s coming soon to PS4 and PC.
Trover Saves the Universe is said to be a “comedy adventure” which the trailer makes exceptionally clear. Players will set off on a journey to rescue their “dognapped” dogs who are in the clutches of the evil Glorkon. Beyond that it seems is pure insanity in true Rick and Morty fashion.
One nice surprise is that the game supports but does not demand VR. Players can alternate between whatever works best for them, allowing for a larger audience and less discomfort for those who might struggle with using VR too long. Pre-orders are live today across the PlayStation Store, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.
