KISS is dealing with another sad loss. Danny Francis, who worked as the band’s head of security, has died. This news comes while the rock band is still sad about losing guitarist Ace Frehley not long ago.
According to TMZ, Paul Stanley, who sings for the band, broke the news on X. Stanley is 73 years old and said his friend who worked with him for many years had died. Francis spent 30 years with the band, helping Stanley on tours and in everyday life.
“Danny Francis, my dear friend, assistant and so much more for 30 years of tours and life has died after a brutal fight with liver cancer,” Stanley announced on X. “He was loved by Erin and all my children and his kindness was given to everyone he came in contact with. My condolences to his entire family.”
The Band Is Going Through A Really Tough Time
Francis dying now makes things even harder for KISS. The band is still trying to deal with losing Ace Frehley, who died just a short time ago. Last month, Frehley went to the hospital after he fell and hurt his head badly while at the studio. The fall caused bleeding in his brain. About a week ago, his family decided to take him off life support. He was 74.
Losing two people so close together has been really hard on KISS. But something good might be coming from all this pain. These deaths seem to be pulling the old band members back together. This matters because they finished what they called their last tour in 2023.
The band members who are still alive got together for Frehley’s funeral. Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, and Peter Criss showed up to remember their friend. Only a few family members and close friends were there. The music world has seen several losses lately, which makes this time even sadder for everyone who loves music.
Eddie Trunk, who works as a radio DJ and knows the band well, talked about what happened at the funeral. He said things went okay, considering how sad everyone was. Trunk also said Frehley’s family told him he could plan a special show later on to celebrate Ace’s life.
This would let fans come together to remember him and everything he did for rock music. For people who want to learn more about how music brings people together, KISS shows how powerful that connection can be. Right now, everyone in KISS is trying to get through losing two important people in such a short time.
