Konami releasing another Metal Gear Solid Collection on PS3

Konami will release another collection of Metal Gear Solid games on the PlayStation 3.  Eventhough they’ve  just recently released a seemingly similar collection of games a little over a year ago, they’re launching the new collection to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the franchise.

The package will include Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: HD Edition, Metal Gear Solid 3: HD Edition, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD Edition, Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions, and Metal Gear Solid 4: Trophy Edition.

Celebrating the 25th anniversary of the METAL GEAR SOLID franchise, this PlayStation®3 exclusive package will include METAL GEAR SOLID, METAL GEAR SOLID 2: HD Edition, METAL GEAR SOLID 3: HD Edition (which includes the original MSX versions of METAL GEAR and METAL GEAR 2), METAL GEAR SOLID: Peace Walker HD Edition, METAL GEAR SOLID: VR MISSIONS and METAL GEAR SOLID 4: Trophy Edition. In addition, the collection will also include two Ashley Wood digital graphic novels.

Konami has yet to reveal any pricing details for the new Metal Gear Solid Collection, nor have they dated the release just yet.  It seems reasonable to expect the remakes prior to the release of Metal Gear Solid 5.
