DICE is rolling out what appears to be the most substantial patch to Battlefield 4 since the game’s 2013 release. Claiming to have utilized the new Community Test Environment to update the netcode for the game on all platforms, DICE is claiming to see an over 60% improvement in the game by adding a “High Frequency Bubble”.
This High Frequency Bublle updates the game client at a higher rate from the server, which should result in “a smoother, more “correct” player experience,” according to a post on Battlelog.
DICE says that they will continue to use the Community Test Environment for netcode fixes and improvements, and that they are still working on other improvements and tweaks to the game.
