Rainbow Six Siege was set to be getting a new patch on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One today, but Ubisoft has just announced that the patch has been delayed. The reason for the delay is an “unexpected bug” that the team recently stumbled upon.
The patch made its way to PC at the end of last month, which launched with the bug and has had negative effects on queue times and match quality. While Ubisoft did release a temporary fix to try and minimize the damage on PC, a full fix is currently in the works.
Ubisoft said that “While we have seen improvements on queue time after this update, it is not up to our standards. We are still working on the issue and we will communicate any updates on our progress. Due to these findings from patch 2.3 on PC, we will be temporarily delaying 2.3 on console in order to resolve this issue before deployment.”
Details were not given in regards to when we might see the latest patch come to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, though more information is expected to be released soon.
