Riot Games is introducing a new type of rewards system for League of Legends players to promote good behavior. Riot is looking to use positive reinforcement to improve player behavior, according to a recent post on the League of Legends Forums.
“We know that we have a great community, but we haven’t done a great job providing tools to empower this community to proactively be even more awesome.”
“Everyone’s had one of these days: You are struggling in a game and find yourself in a situation where a teammate could have easily trolled or flamed you, but instead goes out of his way to be a helpful, compassionate team-player.”
Apparently, this new Honor system will be one that gives back to those player who go out of their way to make other player’s LoL experience better.
