Someone has managed to acquire an early copy of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 on PS3. It takes a look at the game’s graphics and a bit of the multiplayer action.
YouTube user, yung roads, uploaded the video and it includes over six minutes of the multiplayer mode. Looking at the gameplay, it’s safe to say that more effort was put into the newer platforms.
You can watch the video yourself below and it’s leaked footage from the PS3 version of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. You cannot really tell it’s from a PS3 as the graphics look really bad.
This may be a reason why Activision is not including the single player campaign for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions. Treyarch’s campaign director, Jason Blundell, even explained to Official Xbox Magazine (via GamesRadar) why the last-gen versions don’t have the single player.
According to Blundell, there was a lot of weapon customization that is being added to this year’s game. If you factor in co-op as well, he said that the PS3/Xbox 360’s “memory just can’t do that“. He concluded that he “hate for people to get an experience that wasn’t true to the vision of it.” They decided to scrap the single player entirely because of that.
Anyway, this video kind of shows the quality of the last-gen versions. It’s safe to say that PS3/Xbox 360 owners should upgrade to the PC/PS4/Xbox One versions of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 to get the best experience.
