Life is Strange: Before the Storm “Farewell” Release Date and Box Sets Announced

Recommended Videos

Last year, the three main episodes of Life is Strange: Before the Storm were released digitally across PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Owners of the Deluxe Edition knew that a bonus “Farewell” episode was on its way eventually, and now we have a specific release date for the episode, as well as details about various box sets of the game.

The official Life is Strange blog states that the long awaited “Farewell” bonus episode of Life is Strange: Before the Storm, where players will play as Max, the protagonist of the first game, is slated for release on March 6. This same day, three different boxed sets of the game will become available in the US (and available on March 9 in PAL regions). The first of these boxed sets is the Vinyl Edition, which will include a vinyl set of the game’s soundtrack, a CD of the soundtrack and an art book featuring art from the game. This boxed set will not include a physical copy of the game, however, but buyers will receive a download of the Deluxe Edition of the game. This set is currently available for pre-order for $69.99 from Square Enix’s online store.

The Limited Edition boxed set will include a physical copy of the game, an art book and a CD of the soundtrack, while the Standard Edition simply includes a physical copy of the game. The Standard Edition will launch in the US on March 6, but not be available in other regions until an unspecified later date. All three boxed sets will include all Deluxe Edition material (“Farewell” episode, Mixtape Mode and Outfit Pack) as well as a digital copy of the first episode of the first Life is Strange. Participating retailers will also throw in figurines of Chloe and Rachel for those who pre-order a boxed set.
