Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII is still coming to PC according to a tweet from the official Final Fantasy account. The game  is a direct sequel to Final Fantasy XIII-2 and is the concluding chapter of the FFXIII story. It originally launched in late 2013 to early 2014 depending on the region, with only an Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 version so far. All along Square Enix has promised that there would be a PC version, but with over a year between releases, many fans were getting impatient and began to worry that it might have been cancelled. Those fears, seemingly can be put to rest though with this confirmation that the team is still working on the release.

Unfortunately no other information about the game was given, such as a release date. “A lot of people have been asking about Lightning Returns on PC,” reads the tweet. “While we can’t confirm a release date, don’t worry, it is still coming.” Typically Final Fantasy games are console exclusive, but that has been shifting as of late, with both FFXIII games hitting PC in late 2014. Fans who have invested in the story and universe likely wish to get this concluding chapter as soon as possible, so the fervor over the lack of communication and apparent delays makes sense. Hopefully Square Enix can reveal more at their press conference during E3 2015.
