LinkedIn Profile Shows Dev Has Worked On Red Dead Redemption 2

A former Rockstar Games developer has an interesting LinkedIn profile because his biography shows that he was working on Red Dead Redemption 2 just before he left the company last year.

3D Artist, Ruben Tavares, posted on LinkedIn the many Rockstar games that he has worked on for the past few years. His resume includes Midnight Club: Los Angeles, Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2.

It’s interesting that he put Red Dead Redemption 2 on there because this game has yet to be announced by Rockstar Games. Not to mention this will actually be the third game of the series as the first one was called Red Dead Revolver.

However, Rockstar might be using the Redemption name since the second game was the one that was more famous and popular. The first game was good, but nobody played or remembered it as much as Redemption.

As you can see from his profile, Tavares left Rockstar Games in February 2015. This could mean Rockstar Games has been secretly developing the game for many years now. This is similar to how Fallout 4’s development was kept a secret for many years until Bethesda announced/released it last year.

Update: It’s quite possible that Mr Tavares wrote a typo. His biography at Moby Games shows that he worked on Red Dead Redemption (2010) as a “Lighting Artist”. However, hopefully Rockstar reveals something about the franchise at this year’s E3 event.
