Warner Bros. has released a little snippet of the Batman theme that will be featured in Batman vs Superman . This is Hans Zimmer and Junkie XL’s take on the Ben Affleck Batman.
You have to give Hans Zimmer credit for trying to attempt another Batman theme as he was already responsible for the score of Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy. Zimmer initially didn’t want to score Batman vs Superman as he thought he might have plagiarized his own work with Batman being re-introduced.
The little preview that has been released is 90 seconds long, but it gives you an idea of how menacing this new Batman will be in the movie. The score is brooding and very loud compared to other Batman themes in the past. Ben Affleck has described his take on Batman is different than what we have seen before.
This is only the second track that Warner Bros. has previewed for Batman vs Superman. The first track was released a few weeks ago and was called “Their War Here”. That theme was a homage to Man of Steel as it included similar tunes to that movie as it plays during the prologue in Batman vs Superman.
Batman vs Superman releases in North America on March 25th, 2016. The soundtrack will be out a few day’s earlier as its release date is March 18th, 2016.
