Capcom and Sony have presented today an alternate costume for Captain Marvel for the upcoming Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite. The outfit portrays the character’s origins as a US Air Force officer, and the reason why Sony is involved is because it will be exclusive for the PS4 version of the game. According to the trailer, the only requirement to unlock the costume is just purchasing the game for Sony’s console, so it seems like it will be available from day one.
The video description of the trailer explains the reference of the costume: “When accomplished Air Force pilot Carol Danvers was caught in the explosion of an alien device, she was imbued with super human powers. As an Avenger, she used her gifts to protect the planet. Now she is a member of the resistance, joining in the fight against the ultimate threat in this newly-formed universe — Ultron Sigma.”
With only a few days for the game’s release, Capcom has already unveiled all the content that will be included at launch. One of the latest surprises was the ability to use the Soul Stone to steal the opponent’s health and revive fallen characters. Prior to that, the company released the final story trailer, which presented the main plot of the game.
Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite launches on September 19 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Watch the new trailer below.
