The Marvel Spider-Man movie that is due out in 2017 could be subtitled “The New Avenger”.

The full name of the Marvel movie is rumored to be called “Spider-Man: The New Avenger”. This is according to a report from Umberto Gonzalez who used to work for Latino Review. Gonzalez himself says this could be a rumor, but his source told them this is what the movie will be called. Gonzalez usually has a good track record on things like this.

If you did not know the news already, Sony has allowed Marvel to collaborate with them on a new Spider-Man movie that will be out in 2017. However, Spidey will make his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in next year’s Captain America: Civil War. An actor to play the role of Peter Parker/Spider-Man has not been chosen yet.

The title of Spider-Man: The New Avenger is an interesting one. This suggests the character will be a new member of the team. This might happen since he joined The Avengers on more than one occasion in the comic books. He also plays a role in the Infinity Gauntlet comic too, which the Infinity War movies will be based on.

It was rumored a few months ago the movie would be called “The Spectacular Spider-Man”. This new title might be the one Marvel will choose. There’s still two more years until the film is out, so the name of the movie could change between now and 2017.
