Casey Hudson the lead producer of the epic sci-fi games in the Mass Effect series best described the upcoming DLC for Mass Effect 2 as a prequel to the anticpated sequel.  The game’s new batch of DLC will fill in the story gaps between Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3.  Though Bioware has already released a story bridge in the “Stolen Memory” DLC, which is the story of The Kasumi.

” The Overlord”, an upcoming DLC pack will be released in June.

We have a bunch of packs that are in the works right now,” Hudson said.

So, for the time being there’s going to be a continued stream of DLC for people. We’ll start to have packs that’ll tell the story between Mass Effect 2 and 3. But beyond that we kind of have to see how people are responding to what we have and go from there  -Casey Hudson
