Before Mass Effect 3 was announced late last year, many speculated on the possibility of multiplayer in the finale of the trilogy. Today, rumors yet again reared their heads on the possibility of cooperative multiplayer in Mass Effect 3. Rumor has it that Mass Effect 3 will feature a four player co-op mode that plays similar to Gears of War’s Horde Mode.
Completely seperate from the campaign, Mass Effect’s first jaunt into multiplayer is said to be a completely stand-alone experience, where players will kill waves of enemies who’ll get increasingly difficult as the game progresses. Bioware has been hush hush on any official details about these features, but Bioware has made it clear that they are exploring the possibilities of multiplayer in all of their games and franchises.
These rumors have not been confirmed nor denied at this time.
