Mega Man Legends first released back in 1998 in the US for PlayStation, followed by a release for Nintendo 64 in 2001. With the presence of PSOne classics on the PlayStation Store and the sky high price of the game on the secondary market, gamers have been begging for the release of Mega Man Legends and those prayers have finally been answered.
For a long time now, fans have wanted Mega Man Legends on the PlayStation Store in the US, but numerous rights issues involving the game were supposedly keeping it from release. Even after the release of The Misadventures of Tron Bonne in the last few months, talk was that Mega Man Legends still likely wouldn’t be coming.
Coming from Capcom Employee Gregaman on the Capcom official blog, it was revealed that not only is Mega Man Legends coming to the PlayStation Store, but it’s already coming next week and at a good price.
Mega Man Legends will officially release on the PlayStation Store on Tuesday, September 24 for an excellent price of $9.99. This is much lower than you will ever find on sites like eBay and the like for this much wanted game.
For those that are planning to get Mega Man Legends next week, it will be playable on PlayStation 3 and PS Vita, but not on PSP. Hopefully this will pave the way for the release of its sequel as well, and perhaps Mega Man Legends 3 being revived, though I wouldn’t hold my breath on that last one.
