Cloaked in Silence, a downloadable content campaign for Metal Gear Online will be available on March 15th. Â The expansion pack will include three new maps (Coral Complex, Rust Palace, and Azure Mountain), as well as a new character, Quiet.
Shortly after the release of the downloadable content, Metal Gear Online will feature a new mode called survival. This is slated to arrive on April 7th.  “In SURVIVAL, teams of players compete for the highest win streak to achieve greater rewards. All players can try out the new maps for free in SURVIVAL matches, with a limit of 10 attempts per week (the number of free available attempts will be reset every Tuesday during the scheduled maintenance). Players who purchased the ‘Cloaked in Silence’ Expansion Pack will have unlimited access to SURVIVAL mode and the new maps.”
If you’ve yet to play Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, now is a better time than ever to jump in.  The game is currently marked down 40% on the PlayStation Store. Oddly enough, the press release sent out revealing the Cloaked in Silence DLC did not list a price for the content.
Update: Â The official Metal Gear website had a little more information about the downloadable content. Â Cloaked in Silence, which includes the features listed above will cost $3.99. Â Konami is also offering other downloadable offerings in the form of something new called “Appeal Actions.” Â These new items are a new in-game communication that allow players to take specific poses (see emotes). Â These Appeal packs will be offered separately as Basic, Battle, Dance, and Hero packs for $1.99 each. Â A bundle, which includes the Cloaked in Silence DLC and all of the Appeal Packs can be had for $10.99. Â This bundle also comes with 550 MB Coins.
