While Konami’s release method for Metal Gear Solid 5 was definitely an interesting one as it released Ground Zeroes separately from The Phantom Pain, now gamers have a chance to pick up the full experience in one package. Today marks the release of Metal Gear Solid 5: The Definitive Experience, and Konami has released a launch trailer that you can check out at the bottom of this post.
For those who don’t know, Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes serves as a prequel to Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain, and is more of a glorified demo than an actual game. The Phantom Pain is the main course here, and this new collection also includes all of the DLC that was released for it.
Unfortunately, some were hoping that this new collection of Metal Gear Solid 5 content would include the previously-reported missing content from the game’s ending, but that is not the case. The developers have since claimed that this supposed missing content was never intended to be a part of the main game’s ending, and was instead bonus content that was canceled.
Metal Gear Solid 5: The Definitive Experience is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, and you can check out the launch trailer below.
