Metal Gear Solid V:  The Phantom Pain has been out for a couple of days now, but Konami hasn’t been able to keep the online aspect of the game functioning properly.  Thankfully, most of The Phantom Pain can be played offline and it’s not a huge issue for many who are still working their way through the story.

However, all platforms are currently undergoing server maintenance at the moment, according to Konami’s Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Server Status page.

A number of tips are given on the page about how to get online with Metal Gear Solid V.  If you check server status and it’s running properly, Konami advises that you reset the game to connect online.

Konami offers apologies to those having difficulties connecting to Metal Gear, and say that they are “currently looking into the problem and working on solutions.”  No time table was given as to when Metal Gear servers would be online.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is just another in the growing list of games that have launched with serious online issues.
