Konami has now released update patch 1.03 for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. It addresses the bug that using Quiet on two missions corrupts your save data.
The new update for PS4 clocks in at 435.8MB. It fixes the issue of your save data being ruined by using Quiet during missions 29 and 42. If you are still playing the game, you can now use the best buddy without losing your save progress.
The 1.03 update patch notes for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain are:
*Fixed an issue where under specific conditions, the game halts progression in the black screens displayed after clearing Mission 29 and Mission 42.
*Fixed the issue where once the prior issue is triggered, the save data goes directly to the black screen and game progression is halted.
*Fixed the issue where using the selection controls during the tutorial when first buying an FOB the game halted progression.
Hopefully Konami releases more updates in the future to improve other things in the game. I’m not going to spoil anything here, but there are a few things that should be added to make the whole experience happier for some fans.
The update patch for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is now available on PS4 and should be up for the other platforms very soon.
