Metro: Last Light has found a new home at Deep Silver following the fallout of the THQ bankruptcy. The publisher has confirmed that the shooter will arrive on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC on May 14th.
Koch Media, publishers of the Dead Island series, got their hands on a couple of big properties amidst the financial turmoil at THQ. The company will now publish the Saints Row franchise from Volition and the Metro series from 4A.
Metro: Last Light has seen a crazy development cycle since it was revealed a couple years back. No word on whether or not Metro Last Light would arrive on next-gen platforms later this year, but they did not hint at the possibility in the recent press release.
Metro: Last Light is set in the 2034, and a nuclear war has turned the world into a post-apocalyptic wasteland. In Moscow, the tunnels of the Metro have become a new home for the former inhabitants of the city. Within the catacombs, they fight for their survival, fending off hordes of hideous mutants born from the toxic atmosphere, as well as other factions desperate to take control of what little hospitable land remains.
Expect more details about this shooter from 4A Games as we head closer to release.
