Yesterday gamers had access to download Red Dead Redemption and other games onto their Xbox One consoles. It appears the leaks came early and Microsoft has removed access to them until they’re officially released.

Larry “Major Nelson” Hyrb officially said on Reddit: “Microsoft tests all Xbox 360 games with our emulator to ensure a quality experience across a breadth of titles. Due to an error, some of the games currently in test were accidentally made available.

We have since removed access to those games, and apologize for any confusion this may have caused. We will have more information on upcoming releases soon.”

Games such as Red Dead Redemption, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and others were available to be digitally downloaded via the Xbox One Marketplace . Now Microsoft has removed access to the games so new gamers shouldn’t be able to download them.

However with the leaks, we now know the games that Microsoft plans to release very soon. The company is sure to make an official announcement later this month. With the official announcement, people that own the original Xbox 360 discs should be able to play their games on Xbox One.
