Youtube has been around for a long time now, and gaming is fast becoming one of its most important communities. Let’s Plays, guides, walkthroughs, and just generally game related material make up a huge portion of Youtube’s content. To celebrate the tenth anniversary of Youtube, the company has put together a list of the top ten most watched video games on the video streaming service, with some not too surprising titles taking the top spots. Minecraft was the big winner, having been watched so many times that “Minecraft” is the second most searched term on Youtube.
Youtube’s head of gaming content Ryan Wyatt explained “There are over 42 million ‘Minecraft’ videos on YouTube today. It’s crazy because ‘Minecraft’ is also the second most searched term on YouTube. It’s a testament to (publisher) Mojang understanding the marketing capacity and power of our content creators.”
Rounding out the top three are Grand Theft Auto and League of Legends, two massive titles with huge followings online. Take a look at the full list to see all ten of the biggest games on Youtube.
